Murals, illustrations and graphics for
South Carolina Upcountry History Museum

The new South Carolina Upcountry Museum preserves the history of Upcountry South Carolina through education, research and service. Karen Carr Studio recently completed a series of maps for the new museum in Greenville, SC.

The Upcountry project demonstrated some of the flexibility Karen emphasizes in her work: The Museum needed a map that would provide visitors with an idea of South Carolina's part yet overlay familiar landmarks like highways from the present.

Karen provided the museum with maps with a series of separate overlays highlighting the information they wanted to showcase.
